Kandy later faced separation and divorce and even endured a financial storm. Through it all Kandy pushed through and persevered through the storms to get to a place of triumph and victory. Her storms led her to writing two literary pieces.

Adding to her accolades is the successful hosting of a three-city Boss 2 Boss Tax Tour, further solidifying her status as a leader and influencer in the tax community. A landmark in her illustrious career was achieved when Kandy made history by selling her Tax franchise to another Black woman, passing the torch of wealth and legacy in New Orleans.
